Al Ahly face Wydad in CAF Champions League semi-final semis

CAIRO-23 October 2020: Al Ahly face Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg on Friday night at Cairo International Stadium.

The Red Devils secured a 2-0 win in the first leg in Casablanca and they hope to secure a place in the final for the 13th time in the club’s history.

Al Ahly manager Pitso Mosimane believes that the team must focus on achieving a positive result at home, stressing the need to forget the first-leg match and its result.

“Nothing is won yet. We scored twice in Casablanca; they can do the same in Cairo. We have to keep fighting.” Mosimane said.

Al Ahly secure the first leg victory thanks to two goals from Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Ali Maaloul.

On the other hand, Wydad Casablanca manager Miguel Gamondi states that the team will fight to win the tie despite the first leg loss.

Gamondi said “It’s a difficult mission to come back, but I always believe.”
