Badry speaks ahead of Zanaco match

CAIRO – 29 June 2017: Hossam el-Badry spoke to Al-Ahly official website on June 29 ahead of the Al-Ahly match against Zanaco on July 1, 2017 in the CAF Champions League group stages.

Al-Ahly coach Badry gave his outmost respect to the Zambian team.
Not speaking about a victory against the Zambian team, Badry said, “We will play against Zanaco in Zambia aiming only for the 3 points in order to enhance our situation in the group.”

He added to the club’s official website, “Zanaco’s match won’t determine who will qualify. However, it will have a great impact on both teams.”

Badry ended his talk to the website by saying, “Zanaco’s performance and their competition to qualify shows how the strengths and the weaknesses within African football [has] changed.”

Al-Ahly comes second in his group with 7 points after Zanaco who are first with 10 points. Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) is third with 6 points and Coton Sport (Cameroon) is last with 0 points.
