20,000 youths take part in bikes festival marking 47th anniv. of Oct. War victory

CAIRO, Oct 9 (MENA) - Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy on Friday launched, via video conference, the National Bicycles Sports Festival to mark the 47th anniversary of October War victory, with the participation of 20,000 youths.

 

Held under the title "Egypt's youth greet nation on Victory Day", the festival offers awards worth EGP 500 for the first 25 winners in each governorate, the minister said.

 

The marathon falls within the framework of the ongoing events being held throughout October to mark the anniversary of October War victory.

 

The minister hailed the youth's participation in the marathon nationwide to celebrate October War victory, noting that such participation reflects their devotions to the nation.
