CAIRO - 5 September 2020: Confederation of African Football (CAF) refuses to postpone the remainder of CAF Champions League, a CAF official told Egypt Today.
Moroccan reports claimed that the matches, scheduled to be played in September and October, will be postponed after many players from Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca tested positive for coronavirus.
CAF official denied the rumours saying that the games will be played as scheduled.
Al Ahly and Zamalek reached CAF Champions League semi-finals and they will face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca respectively.
The first leg will be played in Morocco in the last week of September while the second leg will be played a week later in Cairo.
Al Ahly have won a record 8 CAF Champions League titles and they aim to add their 9th title this year while Zamalek, who won 5 Champions League titles, hope to continue their success on continental level after winning the CAF Confederation Cup title last season.
