CAIRO - 3 September 2020: Pyramids put the finishing touches on signing the Egyptian international Ramadan Sobhy from Huddersfield Town.

The player has been spotted during shooting a pre-signing announcement video at 30 June stadium.

Sobhy is set to lead the Olympic national team during Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 summer.

Ramadan is Al-Ahly academy product and he left his childhood club in 2016 to join Stoke City where he played two seasons before leaving to Huddersfield.

The winger wore the Red Devils' jersey in 124 games. He scored 23 goals and set up 21 goals.

Sobhy joined Al Ahly on a loan for six months for a fee of £800,000 before extending his loan for the 2019–20 season.

Reports claimed that Sobhy will sign a three-year contract with Pyramids and will receive EGP80 million in the next three years.

Sobhy will become the second player to favour Pyramids over Al Ahly after Ahmed Fathy who signed a contract with Pyramids last April.
