CAIRO-29 August 2020: Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praises the team Egyptian midfielder Mohamed El Neny, saying he knows his strengths and weaknesses really well.
The Egyptian returned to the Gunners after spending a season-long loan in Turkey playing for Besiktas.
"He’s a really positive character to have around and he has some really good qualities as well and like anybody else." Arteta said.
The Egyptian has been with Arsenal since 2016 and he played alongside his manager during Arteta's last season at the Emirates stadium.
Arteta added "I know Mo really well. I played with him, so I know what he can be and I know his strengths and weaknesses really well,”
El Neny joined the Gunners' preparations for the new season and he scored a goal in Arsenal's 5_0 victory over MK Dons.
Asked about El Neny's future at Arsenal, the Spaniard said "In the moment that he is with us, he will be given all our support and the best possible environment for them to perform as high as they can. We don’t know [if he will stay]."
FA Cup winners Arsenal face Premier League champions Liverpool on Saturday afternoon in the FA Community Shield.
