CAIRO-27 August 2020: Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy praised the team striker Marwan Mohsen as he scored a late goal over El Gouna to secure his team's victory.
"Marwan Mohsen is the best striker in Egypt and he is the national team's first choice striker." El Shenawy said on Wednesday.
The game was going to a goalless draw when Al Ahly substitute Marwan Mohsen received El Shenawy's long ball inside the box and shot the ball in the back of the net to grant his team a late victory.
El Shenawy commented on his team's victory, saying" We are doing our best to make our fans happy. We are focusing on what we do on the pitch and we do not care about the negative comments."
Al Ahly got back on the right track and the players showed their quality after losing the Derby 3_1 to Zamalek on Friday.
Al Ahly reached 59 points after 22 games and they are 17 points clear atop of the table.
