CAIRO_13 August 2020: Manchester City Portuguese winger Bernardo Silva aims to clinch the UEFA Champions League title at home as Manchester City prepare for the mini tournament in Lisbon.
"The Champions League is the only competition we still haven’t won at this club. Most of our players haven’t won it yet, including me." Silva said.
Manchester City, who defeated Real Madrid 4_2 on aggregate, will face French giants Olympique Lyonnais who knocked out Juventus.
It was a fully merited victory for the English giants as they achieved their first ever victory over the record 13-time winners Real Madrid at home.
The Portuguese added "It will be very special to win it. For me, even more so because it’s my city and it’s an extra motivation to fight for the trophy here. It would definitely be special to win the Champions League in Lisbon."
Manchester City failed to go further than the Champions League's quarter-finals under Pep Guardiola's management, and they hope to bounce back in the Champions League after a disappointing season domestically.
City finished second in the Premier League behind the champions Liverpool and they were knocked out of the FA Cup semi-finals.
