CAIRO-13 August 2020: Ramadan Sobhy, Huddersfield Town and Egypt national team winger, rejected an offer from Al Ahly as he announced his desire to join the Red Devils' league rivals, Pyramids.
Sobhy will become the second player to favour Pyramids over Al Ahly after Ahmed Fathy who signed a contract with Pyramids last April.
Al Ahly announced the news on Wednesday in a statement which revealed that the club has reached an agreement with Huddersfield Town to re-sign the player but the player's desire was to join Pyramids.
Ramadan is Al-Ahly academy product and he left his childhood club in 2016 to join Stoke City where he played two seasons before leaving to Huddersfield.
The winger wore the Red Devils' jersey in 124 games. He scored 23 goals and set up 21 goals.
Sobhy joined Al Ahly on s loan for six months for a fee of £800,000 before extending his loan for the 2019–20 season.
Reports claimed that Sobhy will sign a three-year contract with Pyramids and will receive EGP80 million in the next three years
