Al Salam stadium to be Al Ahly stadium starting from Wedensday

CAIRO, 12 August 2020: Al-Ahly will announce on Wednesday, the transfer of Al-Salam Stadium to Al-Ahly Stadium, through a big ceremony that will start at 07:00 PM.

Al Ahly’s president, Mahmoud Al-Khatib's, will attend the ceremony alongside the club veteran legends.

Al-Ahly has formed an official committee to work on completing the procedures to announce the first phase on Wednesday, to be followed by the announcement of the remaining stages during the coming period.

Al-Ahly announced last December that they had reached an agreement with Estadat Company to obtain a usufruct right from Al-Salam Stadium for a period of 25 years, provided that the stadium would bear the name of Al-Ahly Club until a special stadium was built in the Red Castle.

‘Estadat’ Company won the right to manage, market and invest a group of stadiums of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the various governorates of the Egyptian Republic with the aim of developing it and long-term investment.
