Negredo celebrates after scoring for Valencia, Reuters
CAIRO_24 July 2020: Spain's newly promoted club, Cadiz, confirmed on Friday the signing of Spanish veteran striker,Alvaro Negredo.
Negredo signed a one-year deal with the Andalusian club to strengthen their squad for the next season.
"I'm happy about this new challenge at a historic club like Cadiz, I've a lot more experience after getting to know a lot of different clubs and cultures." Negredo told the club official website.
Cadiz returned to LaLiga after spending 14 years playing at the second tier of Spanish football.
The veteran striker added "If I'm in Cadiz, it's because the coach sees things in me that I can contribute. I'm hoping for a beautiful year for the club, the fans and the dressing room."
Negredo has previously wore the jerseys of Rayo Vallecano, Valencia, Sevilla and Almeria in Spain and he spent the last two seasons with the UAE's Al Nasr.
Negredo is expected to add value for his new teammates as he also gained experience from playing abroad for Manchester City and Middlesbrough in England as well as spending a season in Turkey with Besiktas.
