CAIRO_13 June: Barcelona director Xavier Vilajoana revealed on Saturday that the Catalan club has no intention to sell their youngster, Ansu Fati.
Reports linked the player with a move away from Barcelona as Manchester United offered mega money to sign the youngster.
"For us, there's no story with Ansu, we have never spoken about selling him," Vilajoana told Sport.
Fati was Barcelona's surprise this season when he was promoted to the first team due to lack of attacking players.
Barcelona official added "We won't use players from the academy to make cash. In principle, we have no intention of selling the players we believe will make the first team."
From day one, Barcelona fans believed that their youngster could be the next big thing after he showed his abilities and confidence to play at the highest level in such a young age.
The player featured in 25 games in all competitions and scored five goals in his debut season with the club.
He continued "I think he's happy. He will be an important player in the coming years."
