CAIRO_ 22 May 2020: Pyramids Sporting Director, Hany Said, stated on Thursday that the club's target is to participate in the CAF Champions League next season.
"Our goal is to participate in the CAF Champions League next season. We need to finish second in the league this season and we also focus on winning the CAF Confederation Cup title." Said said.
Pyramids are third in the league table with 32 points from 18 games and they are only one point behind the second-placed Arab Contractors.
Pyramids expect a fierce competition over the Champions League spot with Arab Contractors and Zamalek, who comes fourth with 28 points from 16 games.
Pyramids have a big chance to win their first continental title this season as they have reached CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals and they will face Horoya Conakry from Guinea.
Said added "Starting from next season, out target is to win titles."
Said was appointed as the club Sporting Director following his retirement earlier this season. He was a member of Egypt national team's golden generation and won back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2008 and 2010.
