Aguirre reveals Laliga return date

CAIRO- 8 May 2020: Javier Aguirre, former Egypt national team manager and the current manager of Leganes, reveals that Laliga is set to return on 20 June.

"We already have a start date for the league. On 20 June, we will start LaLiga and in five weeks we will be officially finished, on 26 July." Aguirre told Marca.

Laliga teams returned to training sessions this week under strict health measures to be ready for the restart of the season.

Aguirre added "It will be played on Saturday-Sunday and Wednesday-Thursday, over 11 dates. LaLiga has just informed me officially and I am very happy about this because we already have training scheduled."

LaLiga as many football competitions worldwide was halted due to the spread of coronavirus.

Spain is one of Europe's worst-hit countries as the number of fatalities reached over 26,000.
