CAIRO –23 June 2017: Alexis Sanchez scored Chile’s only goal Thursday to help his team to get a point from the reigning world cup winners’ Germany; this goal made Sanchez all time goal scorer of Chile.
Alexis Sanchez scored 38 goals for Chile in 112 matches according to whoscored.com, his first one was in 2-1 loss against Switzerland in 2007 and since that day he never stopped scoring goals.
Sanchez surpassed the former Chilean all time goal scorers Marcelo Sallas.
Sanchez, 28 years old, represented Chile in 2 World Cup finals in 2010 and 2014 when the team reached the round of 16 and got eliminated against Brazil in both times according to FIFA.com
Sanchez also participated in 3 Copa America competitions and he won the last 2 editions after beating Argentina in both of them.
