CAIRO_10 April 2020: Al Ahly legendary manager, Manuel José, revealed that the 4_3 victory over Zamalek at Egyptian Cup Final in 2008 is his best moment as Al Ahly manager.
"My best memory with Al Ahly when we defeated Zamalek 4_3 at Egyptian Cup Final." José told ONTime Sports on Thursday.
Zamalek opened the score by Amr Zaki's header but Al Ahly equalised quickly through Emad Moteb.
Zamalek regained the lead by an amazing shot from Shikabala but Mohamed Abo Trike scored the equaliser two minutes before the final whistle to send the game to extra time.
Gamal Hamza added the third goal for Zamalek at the first half while Osama Hosny scored two goals at the second half to secure Al Ahly victory.
"I congratulated my team after the game and went to Zamalek dressing room and congratulated Zamalek players for their performance." José said.
José is considered by many as the best manager in Al Ahly's history as he led the team to win four CAF Champions League titles as well as dominating the domestic competitions between 2004 and 2010.
