Marwan Mohsen, Al Ahly’s striker, spoke on Monday about the recent criticism that he has been facing from different pages on social media.
The 31-year-old striker [Mohsen] responded to people’s critics on Egyptian television channel ON Time Sports.
“Criticism on me has been increasing in the past period and I don’t really know what people want. I couldn’t find an explanation for why that’s happening to me,” Mohsen said, according to Yallakora.
Additionally, Egypt’s national team striker added that such criticism often reaches a point where it is unacceptable ;however, he has faith in God while facing these situations.
Mohsen also talked about the missed opportunities and Rene Weiler’s , Al Ahly manager, main demands for Al Ahly’s striker.
“Coach Weiler asks me to fulfill specific technical roles on the pitch. Ofcourse, I like to be present in clinical positions because scoring opportunities will be more. However, my biggest role is to open up spaces for my teammates on the pitch,” Mohsen added, as reported from Yallakora.
Al Ahly’s number nine [Mohsen] scored 17 goals and made 6 assists in his 67 appearances with the Red Devils [Al Ahly] ever since joining them in the summer of 2016.
