The Ministry of Youth and Sports issued an official statement through which it revealed that Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, had held a meeting with the leaders of all the ministry to discuss the latest updates of the Coronavirus, COVID-19.
Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, met on Monday evening with the leaders of the Ministry, to prepare for a campaign "to introduce the youth and sports community to the Coronavirus and work to develop proactive preparatory plans at the level of youth centers and clubs in the various governorates of the Republic."
Ashraf Sobhi stressed "the importance of educating the Egyptian youth about the virus and addressing the youth and athletes of Egypt to work to reduce infection and prevent disease."
The Ministry of Youth and Sports will work in coordination with the Ministry of Health to "raise awareness of the importance of sterilization and increase national campaigns to raise awareness about the disease and pay attention to the cleanliness of youth centers at the governorate level."
The Coronavirus has infected more than 100,000 people worldwide, with more than 3,500 people worldwide dead.
Egyptian Health Ministry on Sunday announced seven new coronavirus cases in the North African country, bringing the total number of infected persons to 55 including Egyptians and foreigners.
