CAIRO – 15 February 2020: Al-Ahly confirmed on Saturday that the team’s winger, Ramadan Sobhy, returned to the training ground and he started training with the ball.
Sobhy missed Al-Ahly games since November 2019 as he suffered from a muscular injury.
Sobhy, who is one of the best players at Al-Ahly, returns to his team at the perfect time as the club is going through one of the most important stages of the season.
Al-Ahly will travel to Abu Dhabi to face arch-rivals, Zamalek, at the Egyptian Super Cup on 20 February and four days later at the domestic league before facing South African giants, Mamelodi Sundowns, at the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
Al-Ahly players returned to the training ground on Saturday after achieving a 3-0 win over El Masry on Friday to achieve their 15th straight victory at the Egyptian League.
Al-Ahly are leading the league table with 45 points from 15 games and they are 13 points ahead of the second-placed, Arab Contractors, who gained 32 points from 17 games.
