Zamalek played its first run in Doha in preparation for the Super African against the Tunisian Esperance scheduled for next Friday.
The Zamalek team performed their first time training in the Qatar University stadium.
Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron held a session with his assistants, General Coach Sami El-Shishiny, Assistant Coach Amir Abdel-Aziz and goalkeeper coach Amr Abdel Salam before the start of the training session to develop a special training program in preparation for the match.
In another session, before the training, Carteron asked them to win the match and bring the cup to Egypt.
Zamalek players wore heavy sports clothes in the training session due to the cold weather in Doha.
Karim Bambo underwent a rehabilitation program under the supervision of Amr El Matrawy, the team’s rehabilitation and treatment specialist, due to a back muscle strain. Bambo performed light exercises by running around the field.
Carteron divided Zamalek players into 3 groups and conducted a training session for them to play the ball from one touch.
Mortada Mansour, the president of the white club, was keen to check on the Zamalek delegation in Doha, and demanded the players to focus on training and adhere to the instructions of the coaching staff and provide a strong match worthy of the white castle.
The Zamalek delegation arrived in Doha on Tuesday, amid a large reception from the white masses.
Ismail Youssef, a member of the Board of Directors, heads the Zamalek delegation and is accompanied by Hani Zada, Alaa Makled and Hamada Anwar.
