Italians throw fake dollars, accuse player of greed

CAIRO – 19 June 2017: Italian supporters threw fake dollars at Gianluigi Donnuramma while he was playing for the Italian U21 team against Denmark on Sunday night in the Euro U21 tournament, according to The Guardian.

This reaction came after he decided not to renew his contract with AC Milan.

The perspective of the Italian football fans quickly changed towards Italy’s national team goalkeeper Donnarumma. From being a promising young goalkeeper supported by his fans to becoming perceived as a greedy football player looking only for money, Donnarumma faced harsh consequences after making his decision earlier this week.
