If I win playing badly, I won't go home happy: Setien

CAIRO – 18 January 2020: Barcelona new manager, Quique Setien, affirms that he wants to achieve victories but in an attractive style.

"I want to win. If I win playing badly, I won't go home happy.I'll never tell the players that the result is worth more.” Setien said ahead of his debut as Barca manager.

Barcelona fans criticized the team’s style during the era of former manager, Ernesto Valverde, despite leading the club to achieve two league titles in a row.

Setien continued “We all know that if we play well we have a better chance of winning, and I always try to make my team play well."

Barcelona aim to bounce back on Sunday against Granada after losing the Spanish Super Cup title in Saudi Arabia after being knocked out of the semi-finals against Atletico Madrid.

The new manager commented on his first week inside the Catalan club, saying “I was surprised to see the attitude of acceptance to the changes I proposed. I'm very happy with everything. It's all been wonderful."
