CAIRO – 17 January 2020: Egypt international, Abdullah El Said, scored his 100th goal at the Egyptian League on Thursday night to give his team, Pyramids, a 1-0 lead over Al Ittihad after only 13 minutes from the start.
However, Mohamed Anwar scored for Al Ittihad at the opening minutes of the second half to grant his team a point.
El Said is one of the veteran players at the league as he plays at the Egyptian league since 2004 when he was promoted to the first team at is childhood club, Ismaily.
El Said’s story began in 1995 when he joined Ismaily academy at 10 and since then he got promoted through the club rankings till he joined the first team.
The young player did not need much time to prove his talent as he established himself as one of the best players in the attacking midfielder position at the League.
During his time at Ismailia, El Said scored 36 goals including his memorable two free kick goals against Al Ittihad in Alexandria.
The magician left his home in Ismailia to join the capital giants, Al-Ahly, in 2011. Inside the Red Castle, El Said enjoyed the best spell of his career as he touched the silverware on domestic and continental level.
El Said won two CAF Champions League titles in a row as well as playing a massive part in Al-Ahly’s dominance over the league.
The midfielder spent 7 years at Al-Ahly and scored 50 goals but in 2018 the player shocked Al-Ahly fans with his decision to leave the club to join Pyrmaids.
Between April 2018 and January 2019, he played for Finish side KuPS and Saudi giants, Al-Ahly then he joined Pyramids to start his third spell with Egyptian clubs at the league.
El Said helped his team to establish themselves as one of the promising teams in Egypt and played a big role in their achievement last season when they finished third at the league and played the Cup Final.
The veteran added 16 goals to his tally while wearing Pyramids’ shirt to join the 100 goal club.
El Said became the 9th Egyptian player in the history to join the club.
