The dream turned into a reality in Egypt, he left Dakar as a kid and in England he became a lion, and today he sits on the throne of the continent, Sadio Mane is the best African player of 2019.

The Senegalese star Sadio Mane, Liverpool's winger, won the 2019 Player of the Year award for Africa for the first time in his career, after a great competition with his teammate, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, and Manchester City player, Algerian star Riad Mahrez.

Sadio Mani attended the CAF party that took place in Hurghada, Egypt, and received the award from Ahmed Ahmed, president of the Confederation of African Football Association, "CAF", while Mohamed Salah and Riyadh Mahrez were absent from the ceremony.

Sadio Mane, the Senegalese star during 2019, participated in 52 games, scored 31 goals and made 13 others, and crowned with Liverpool UEFA Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.

At the international level, accompanied by his Senegalese team, he played 11 games, scored 4 goals and made 3, and he managed to lead the Lions of Teranga to qualify for the African Nations Cup final, but did not win the title after losing his country against Algeria with 0-1.
