Liverpool's victory raised their tally to 40 points at the top of the English Premier League, 11 points behind second-placed Leicester City, ahead of Leicester's game against Everton on Sunday. Brighton, on the other hand, is in15th place.
It's worth to mention that Manchester City stumbled again against Newcastle United by a 2-2 draw.
