Al Ahly won their seventh consecutive victory with a 4-0 win over El Gouna, under new coach Rene Weiler to equal Manuel Jose's record.
Jose's debut with Al Ahly in his second term in 2004 was the best for the Red recently with seven consecutive victories in various tournaments.
Since Weiler took over as head of Al-Ahly, he has played 7 games for the team, 4 in the league, 2 in the African Champions League and the Egyptian Super Cup and won all the matches.
Al-Ahly and Weiler scored 23 goals in seven games, 3.3 goals per game, while the net conceded only 3 goals with five clean sheets.
With Jose, seven games were in the league and Al Ahli scored 15 goals and conceded one goal.
Al-Ahly's eagle continued flying and the Red team returned to their victories in the league after beating El Gouna 4-0 in the returning of the Egyptian League which stopped for nearly two months.
Al-Ahly have not played a league match since October 5 when they defeated Aswan 5-1 in the third round of the competition.
Despite the absence of Al-Ahly from playing any official game in 50 days, the team continued to provide the outstanding level that started the season with Swiss coach Rene Weiler.
Veteran superstar Walid Soliman starred in the match and scored a hat-trick to write his first hat-trick with the Reds. Hussein Al-Shahat scored Al Ahly's fourth goal in this match.
The win raised Al-Ahly tally to 12 points, achieving the full mark so far after four games and the team tops the league standings.
El Gouna balance stopped at 4 points in 13th place.
The 4-0 win over El Gouna is the second for Al Ahli this season after it repeated the same result over Al Intag Al Harby.
