Mohsen Salah takes over head of Al Ahly's football planning committee position

Al Ahly's board of directors on Tuesday officially appointed Mohsen Saleh as head of the football planning committee.

The official website of Al-Ahly said in a brief statement that the club's president Mahmoud Al-Khatib will hold a meeting in the coming days with Mohsen Saleh to coordinate all matters related to the first team and junior, academy and the technical committee to discover talent.

Saleh will take over after Taha Ismail, who left the position several weeks ago.

Mohsen Saleh took over the leadership of Al-Ahly youth in 1979. Saleh also led the Egyptian national team and Ismaili SC and crowned with Al Darawesh the Egyptian league title in 2002.

He led Egypt from 2002 to 2004 and appeared at the African Nations Cup.

Mohsen Saleh's last training experience with Smouha was in 2010.
