EFA postpones Al Ahly vs Zamalek match, sets new date later

CAIRO, 16 October 2019:The Egyptian Football Federation, headed by Amr Al-Ganaini, announced the postponement of the summit match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek through an official statement of the Association.

The statement read as follows: "The Egyptian Football Association decided to postpone the match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which was scheduled to be held next Saturday in the fourth round of the Premier League competition in light of receiving the security instructions in this regard, and will set a new date for the game later."

Al Ahly& Zamalek was supposed to face each other in their second match in less than one month. Al Ahly defeated Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup 3-2 in their last game together.

Egyptian league defending champions, Al-Ahly, lead the table with 9 points from three straight victories over Smouha, Al Inttag and Aswan and they are two points ahead of the second placed, Zamalek.
