El Solia will be fit for the derby

CAIRO – 13 October 2019: Al-Ahly midfielder, Amr El Solia, is ready to join his team training sessions and he will be fit for the Cairo Derby against Zamalek on Saturday 19 October, according to Al-Ahly’s football director, Sayed Abdelhafiz.

El Solia suffered an injury during Al-Ahly 5-1 victory over Aswan before the international break and he was forced to miss the national team camp.

The Tunisian international, Ali Maaloul, will participate in the training sessions on Monday after he captained his national team during their goalless draw against Cameroon on Saturday night.

The left winger returned to the national team after former manager, Alain Giresse, ruled him out of the squad that participated in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and finished fourth at the tournament.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly international players, who will face Botswana on Monday, will join their teammates for the derby preparations on Tuesday.

Egyptian league defending champions, Al-Ahly, lead the table with 9 points from three straight victories over Smouha, Al Inttag and Aswan and they are two points ahead of the second placed, Zamalek.
