CAF sets Zamalekvs Generation Foot match on October 24

CAIRO, 9 October 2019:CAF Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially set the 2nd leg match date between Zamalek and Generation foot to be on October 24th.
CAF has sent a letter to the EFA informing that Zamalek’s match against Generation Foot is delayed from Saturday, September 28, at Petrosport stadium to be played on Sunday, September 29, at Borg El Arab stadium.
Generation Foot refused to travel to Borg El Arab stadium on the following day as they have been informed 24 hours before the original date.
Zamalek went to Borg El Arab stadium on Sunday at the same scheduled time, waited for more than 15 minutes as per rules, then referee decided to end the game with a 3-0 victory for Zamalek; he considered that Generation Foot withdrew from the match.
Generation Foot protested against the decision, CAF finally took another decision to replay the match at Borg El Arab stadium.
