CAIRO – 13 June 2017: AC Milan announced on Twitter Monday that the 21 year old Andre Miguel Valente da Silva from Portugal signed a five-year contract worth 38 million EUR ($42.5 million)
Silva joins AC Milan from FC Porto. He played 44 games with Porto this season, scoring 21 goals including four Champions League goals, and eight assists in the 2016/2017 season, according to the sports website Transfer Market.
The young Portuguese is the fourth signing for Milan this year.
The team also signed the defender Ricardo Ivan Rodriguez Araya earlier this year for € 18 million ($20.15 million). Playing for Switzerland, Rodriguez won the 2009 U17 World Cup.
Argentinean defender Mateo Pablo Musacchio joined Milan with a handsome € 18 million ($20.15 million) contract. A former Villarreal CF player in the Spanish La Liga, Musacchio played 30 matches and made two assists for Villarreal.
Milan’s fourth deal is the Ivorian defensive midfielder Franck Yannick Kessie, the 20-year-old midfielder, joined Milan with a two-year loan contract. Milan signed the young defender for € 28 million ($31.34 million), according to Bleacher Report.
