Pyramids FC qualify for CAF Confederation Cup 32nd round

CAIRO, 30 September 2019:Pyramids striker John Antowi led his team to the 32nd round of the CAF Confederation Cup after scoring a goal against CR Belouizdad in the 56th minute in the match held on Sunday at Algeria.

CR Belouizdad drew 1-1 with Pyramids in Cairo, but the latter managed to win in Algeria 1-0 to qualify for the last 32.

Pyramids FC started the game with the following line-up:
Goalkeepers: Ahmed El Shennawy
Defenders: Ahmed Ayman Mansour, Abdullah Bakri, Mohamed Hamdi and Ragab Bakar
Midfielders: Eric Traoré, Islam Issa, Abdullah Al-Saeed, Omar Gaber and Mohamed Fathi
Attacker: Mohamed Farouk

John Antowi entered the game as a substitute for Islam Issain the 50th minute of the match. He scored Pyramids only goal through a powerful shot from outside the box. CR Belouizdadpressed Pyramids’ defense line in the last 15 minutes but they failed to score any goal.

Pyramids FC qualified for the 32nd round for the first time in their history.
