Simeone praises Real Madrid strikers ahead of Madrid Derby

Cairo – 28 September 2019: Atletico Madrid Argentinean manager believes that Real Madrid have improved a lot after a poor start of the season.

“I think that Real Madrid have very good players and when they take advantage of the spaces they are tough to defend against," Simeone said on Friday.

Real Madrid achieved three straight victories at the league over Levante, Sevilla and Osasuna respectively and they are leading the league table with 14 points, one point ahead of second placed, Atletico.

Simeone added “Real Madrid improved a lot in Seville, and continued in that way against Osasuna even when they made changes. I imagine they will continue on that path,"

The two Madrid clubs target achieving the league title and put an end to Barcelona’s dominance over the competition as the Catalans won eight titles in the last 11 years.

Atletico castle, Wanda Metropolitano, hosts the first Madrid derby of the season and the hosts aim to achieve their first victory over Real Madrid at their new home stadium.
