Al Ahly stun Smouha, start defending the Egyptian league

CAIRO, 24 September 2019: Al Ahly started their journey to defend the Egyptian League title by defeating Smouha 1-0 in the match gathered both teams at Borg El Arab stadium on Monday.

Ramadan Sobhy scored Al Ahly's only goal in the 10th minute after a pass from Marwan Mohsen.

Marwan Mohsen was substituted in the 37th minute due to injury in his head; Ajayi took his place.

Al Ahly dominated the game in the first half while Smouha appeared in the second half.
Al Ahly faces Intag Al Harby on Wednesday, October 2 after facing Mokawlon Al Arab on Saturday.

Al-Ahly defeated Zamalek 3-2 on Friday night to win the Egyptian Super Cup derby at Borg El Arab Stadium.

This edition of the Super Cup is for the 2017-2018 season when Al Ahly won the Egyptian league while Zamalek won the Egyptian Cup.
