Al Ahly vs Zamalek in Egyptian Super Cup on September 18

CAIRO, 6 August 2019:Egyptian Football Association settled on the date of the 2017/2018 Egyptian Super Cup between Al Ahly& Zamalek.

The Egyptian Super Cup will be on 18 September on Cairo International stadium.
EFA officials said that the Super Cup may be held outside Egypt but the final decision will be taken this month.
In Zamalek's statement on their official website, it was confirmed by the Cairo Giants that Cairo International Stadium officials sent them a letter of approval to use the stadium for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.

Ali Darawesh, the executive manager of the Cairo International stadium, stated in the approval letter that timings and scheduling for the matches will be decided after the summer as the stadium will be going through refurbishment.

Cairo International Stadium was previously used during the African Cup of Nations, mostly for the Egyptian National team. It also hosted the AFCON final between Algeria and Senegal.

Zamalek had a disappointing end to the season, losing the Egyptian League title to fierce rivals, Al-Ahly ; however, they did achieve the African Confederation Cup.
