Barcelona deny rumors of Coutinho leave to Arsenal

CAIRO, 4 August 2019:The Catalan press has denied reports that Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho on loan this summer.

The reports that linked Arsenal to the signing of Philippe Coutinho were "rumored" and there was no desire within the Blaugranaboard to loan the Brazilian star, the MundoDeportivo newspaper said.

Reports have recently confirmed that in the absence of offers to Philippe Coutinho and Barcelona's need to sell him to make way for Neymar, the Catalan team is considering giving him a year on loan for between 20 and 25 million euros, including the option to buy at the end of the season.

Arsenal have been linked to signing with the Brazilian player as the most interested, which was denied by the player's agents and FC Barcelona.

The Barcelona board also insists that Coutinho will be able to show his quality and value within Barcelona, and if he has to leave, if necessary, he will move permanently rather than loan.
