Betis captain praises new signing, Fekir

CAIRO- 2 August 2019: Real Betis veteran, Joaquin Sanchez, believes that the arrival of Nabil Fekir to the club will have a huge impact on the team next season.

“Fekir is a different player, you see it in his touches of the ball. He's technically excellent with important qualities.” Joaquin said.

Joaquin has been the Betis fans’ hero during the last two decades and he hopes to enjoy playing alongside the French playmaker at La Liga next season.

Fekir has been targeted by the biggest European clubs last summer after a stunning season with French side, Lyon, that earned him a spot at the French squad that went to win the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Fekir was so close to sign for Liverpool but both clubs could not reach a deal so he spent the last season with Lyon. Having failed to produce the same amazing performance and decided to join Betis, searching for a new challenge at La Liga.

Fekir will open the new season with his new club on Monday 19 August against Real Valladolid at Estadio Benito Villamarin.
