CAIRO – 26 July 2019: Egypt U21 Handball team defeated Norway 29-27 on Thursday at the 2019 Men's Junior World Handball Championship quarter finals in Vigo.

The Egyptian team achieved a stunning comeback to win the game and reach the semi-finals after they were five goals behind at many moments during the game.

The Egyptian team reached the semi-finals for the sixth time in the history and they hope to continue their undefeated run at the competition and reach the final for the first time since 1993 when Egypt won the title at home.

The World Cup draw put Egypt in the group of death alongside Sweden, France, South Korea, Nigeria and Australia.

Egypt achieved five wins at the group to reach the second round as group leaders.

Egypt faced Serbia on Wednesday at the second round and won 30-29.

Egyptian Handball national team squad includes: Abdelrahman Taha, Abdelrahman Hameed, Galal Khorshid, Abdelaziz Ehab, Shehab Abdallah, Hassan Walid, Seif El Deraa, Ahmed Hesham, Ahmed Rady, Hazem Mamdouh, Mohsen Ramadan, Mohamed El Azhary, Omar Khaled, Omar Samy, Khaled Waleed and Yasser Mohamed.
