Super Cup between Al Ahly & Zamalek will be at Cairo Stadium: Shobeir

CAIRO, 21 July 2019: Ahmed Shobeir, former EFA vice president, has announced the date of the return of Cairo stadium in Cairo to host local matches.

Cairo Stadium on Saturday hosted the final of the 2019 African Nations Cup between Algeria and Senegal.

"The SuperCup between Al Ahly and Zamalek will be at the Cairo Stadium," Shobeir said during his program ‘Super Time’ on Time Sports channel.

"The Super Cup will be on September 18 before the start of the new season of the league,” He added.

"This is a decision taken before the resignation of the Egyptian Football Association."

The Matches of the Egyptian Premier League will resume after the end of the African Cup of Nations. Borg El Arab Stadium will host the final round between Al Ahly and Zamalek next Sunday.
