Al Ahly deny any negotiations with Herve Renard

CAIRO - 11 July 2019: Moroccan reports have been spread over the past period about the negotiations between Morocco’s coach, Herve Renar, and Al Ahly SC.

Morocco's African Nations Cup title winner favorites were knocked-out by Benin in penalties from AFCON 16th round.

A source inside Al Ahly club denied these claims.

"All the news that have been spread are incorrect," A source inside Al Ahly said to Filgoal website.

"There is confidence and conviction that Martine Lasarte will continue to coach next season and there is no intention to change him." He continued.

"Lasarte is already in the process of preparing the team for the next season," he said.

"There is a full focus on supporting the coach and meeting his demands,” He concluded.

Al Ahly team are in a camp in Spain in preparation for the resumption of league matches scheduled for July 21 and will end on July 28. Al Ahly will face Arab contractors & Zamalek.
