Egypt official shirt numbers for 2019 AFCON released

CAIRO – 11 June 2019: Smouha duo, Ahmed Fatouh and Mohamed Abo Gabal, were dropped from Egypt national team final squad that will participate in the 2019 African Cup of Nations at home.

Egypt national team manager, Javier Aguirre, announced the final squad on Tuesday which included the national team stars, Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet.

The national team shirt numbers also have been released; Liverpool Egyptian winger, Salah, retained his number 10 shirt.

The Egyptian national team started their preparation camp for the 2019 African Cup of Nations at Borg El Arab stadium on June 6.

The AFCON starts on June 21 and ends on July 19. The tournament takes place with the participation of 24 teams in six groups for the first time in the history of the African competition.

Egypt plays in Group A alongside the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
