CAIRO – 9 June 2017: England under 20 football team will face Venezuela’s team in the World Cup’s final on Sunday June 11 in South Korea.
The match between Uruguay and Venezuela saw a dramatic ending. Nicolas De La Cruz scored the opening through a penalty for Uruguay. Then came Samuel Sosa, the Venezuelan international, who scored the equalizer through a superb free kick shot in the stoppage time of the second half to make the match 1-1 and let the match go to extra-time.
Wuilker Farinez, the Venezuelan goalkeeper, managed to maintain the draw in extra time by saving a lot of shots from the Uruguayan national team. His performance continued in the penalty shoot-outs by saving the first shot from the Uruguayan international Jose Bebanz and then by saving the fifth shot from De La Cruz. With these two saves the Venzeluean National team qualified to the final by a score of 4-3 in penalties and 1-1 match time.
The England National team also qualified to the final after turning the score from a lose 1-0 against Italy to a 3-1 victory on Thursday. The Italian international Ricardo Orsilini managed to score the opening goal in the match for Italy. Then in the last 25 minutes of the game, Dominic Solanke the England forward scored two goals and Ademola Lookman, Everton FC winger, scored another goal for England making the final score 3-1.
On the other side, Venezuela U20 managed to draw against Uruguay on 91st minute before qualifying to the finals through the penalty shoot-outs.
The football U20 World Cup is being held at South Korea from May 20 to June 11.
