CAIRO, May 19 (MENA) - The 2019 British Open Squash Championships will kick off in the UK Monday, with 23 Egyptian players taking part.

Twelve Egyptian players are participating in the men's edition of the championships, including Aly Farag, the world's number one and Mohamed el Shorbagi, the world's number two.

Eleven Egyptian players are participating in the women's edition, including Raneem el Weleily, the world's number one and Nour el Sherbini, the world's number two.

The championships will last until May 26.

The British Open Squash Championships is the oldest tournament in the game of squash. It is widely considered to be one of the two most prestigious tournaments in the game, alongside the World Squash Championships.
