CAIRO - 10 May 2019: Al Ahly's defender, Ahmed Alaa, participated in his team training session in preparation for their important clash against Smouha on Saturday in the 32nd round of the Egyptian League.
Alaa suffered stresses in the back muscle which deprived him from participating in the previous matches.
The players also underwent physical training at the start of the training session, before coach Martin Lasarte took care of the crosses.
Lasarte took care of training the players on sending crosses from both the right & left flanks, also he gave instructions for the attackers & defenders on positioning.
The training session witnessed the attendance of Al Ahly's defender, Saad Samir, and the midfielder, Karim Nedved, after they have returned from Germany. Both players suffered injuries in their knees.
Al Ahly tops the Egyptian League table with 67 points after playing 29 matches; Pyramids is in the second place with 65 points after playing 31 matches. Zamalek places third with 63 points from 28 matches.
