CAIRO – 1 May 2019: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month Award for April.
Salah is nominated for the award alongside his teammate, Jordan Henderson, Man City’ Aymeric Laporte, Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez, Leicester City’s Jamier Vardy, Eden Hazard of Chelsea, Southampton’s Shane Long and Chris Wood of Burnley.
Salah has been sensational for his team during April after he suffered a goal drought during February and March.
Salah regained his goal scoring form and he is the joint Premier League Top Goal Scorer with 21 goals, one goal ahead of his teammate, Sadio Mane and Man City’s Sergio Aguero.
Salah’s first goal in April was away against Southampton when he scored the goal that made the score 2-1 for Liverpool 10 minutes before the final whistle.
He also won a penalty against Cardiff City which was converted by his teammate, James Milner, to make the score 2-0 and secured Liverpool’s victory.
On Friday, salah scored twice, provided an assist to lead his team to destroy Huddersfield Town 5-0.
Liverpool comes second at the League with 91 points, one point behind the league leaders and the defending champions, Manchester City.
