FIFA presents additional tickets in Confederations cup

CAIRO –7 June 2017: FIFA announced on Wednesday additional tickets will be sold for the most sought after matches in the Confederations Cup which will take place in Russia on July 17.

FIFA said the tickets will be on the Internet and at ticketing centers in Russia. 1,000 additional tickets will be sold for the match between Russia and Portugal. Another 400 additional tickets will be available for each game of the tournament, according to FIFA’s official website.

The organizers in Russia have complained about the weak sales numbers. less than 1,500 German fans bought tickets before the start of the fourth ticket sale in April. The total number of tickets for the Confederations Cup are 695,000.

Russia is hosting the eight-team tournament in four cities from June 17 to July 2.
