Italy defeats Uruguay in friendly

CAIRO – 8 June 2017: The Italian national team defeated Uruguay in a friendly match on Wednesday at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice, France. Italy won the match 3-0.
The international Italian and Napoli forward Andrea Belotti made the first goal of the match in the seventh minute due to a defensive error that he managed to exploit.

Eder Citadin Martins scored the second goal for his team at the 83rd minute, practically guaranteeing their victory. Danielle De Rossi, the Roma midfielder, solidified the victory in the 91st minute of the match with a penalty kick.

Uruguay has encountered Italy in nine occasions, at both friendly matches and official competitions. Both teams have defeated one another three times, and have drawn even three times.
