CAIRO – 9 April 2019: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed on Monday that his team’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah’s goal against Southampton is a world class goal.
Salah returned to his goal scoring form on Friday when he led his team to achieve a 3-1 victory over Southampton to keep his team chances a live at the premier league title race.
“It was a world-class goal. It is better that Mo has it on the left foot. He scored that beautiful goal and it was so decisive, so important. If something very positive happens at the end of the season, this was one of the decisive ones.” Klopp said.
Salah ended his 9 games goal drought when he scored the second goal for Liverpool 10 minutes before the final whistle to grant his team the lead in the game.
Klopp added “He was so close in so many moments and still now has 18 Premier League goals, seven assists or maybe eight. That is a brilliant number. So nobody was concerned, he was not concerned. He is a grown man and he knows it’s not dreamland out there, that you only need a chance and it will be a goal.”
Salah and his teammates are preparing for their clash against Porto at UEFA Champions League Quarter finals first leg at Anfield.
Liverpool players hope to achieve a comfortable victory before the second leg in Portugal.
