Cerezo calms fans about Griezmann future

CAIRO – 2 April 2019: Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo, revealed on Tuesday that the team French striker, Antoine Griezmann, will not leave the club by the end of the season despite rumors linked him with a move from the club.

“here is no chance that Griezmann leaves in the summer, he is 1,000 percent staying.” Cerezo told TV show 'El Rondo' on Tuesday.

The French striker, who won 2018 World Cup with France, was linked with a move to Barcelona last summer but at the end he decided to stay at the club.

However, reports revealed that the player wants to leave his club to join Barcelona after the team was knocked out of UEFA Champions League round of 16 against Italian giants, Juventus.

Atlerico Madrid also failed to achieve a domestic success as they were eliminated from Spanish Cup GAINST Girona at the round of 16 and they are 10 points behind the league leaders, Barcelona.
