CAIRO – 19 March 2019: Saudi Arabian club, Al Wehda, announced on Tuesday that they have sacked Egyptian manager, Ahmed Hossam known as Mido, after 3 months in charge at the club.

Mido managed the club in 13 games at the Saudi Arabian League; he led them to win 6 games and 3 games ended with a draw while he lost 4 games.

The Egyptian manager thanked the club board, the fans and the players for supporting him during his time with the club.

The club did not announce the reasons behind the decision but reports claimed that the decision was made after an argument on Twitter between the manager and one of the club fans.

Al Wehda Egyptian goalkeeper, Mohamed Awad, backed Mido saying “Mido is the best manager I have ever worked with. He won the best manager twice during his time at the best league in the region.”

Al Wehad comes sixth in the League with 36 points, four points behind the fifth placed, Al Ahli.
